Jet-Alliance is Going Green—Partnering with TerraPass to Balance out
Jet Carbon Footprint

global warming. Now Jet-Alliance is doing something about it—easily
and affordably. Jet-Alliance has partnered with TerraPass to help
its private aircraft owners balance out the global warming impact of
their air travel.
Already, Jet-Alliance, a shared jet ownership company, uses the most
fuel-efficient jets available—the Eclipse 500 manufactured by
Eclipse Aviation. Burning only 63 gallons an hour, it creates a
significantly smaller carbon footprint than similar operations in
other private jets such as the Citation X at 600 gallons per hour.
In fact, the gas mileage of the Eclipse 500 and other aircraft in
the very light jet category rivals that of a typical SUV, but the
benefits are much greater. Cruising at 425 miles per hour, an
Eclipse 500 covers 1295 miles without a fuel stop.
Jet-Alliance is in a soft launch operation phase serving its first
group of California owners. As Jet-Alliance expands its service it
is working to neutralize its carbon footprint by funding clean
energy and greenhouse gas reductions projects throughout the U.S. in
conjunction with TerraPass. Air travel is responsible for 3% of
worldwide carbon dioxide emissions and growing. Jet-Alliance is
introducing an opt-in program for its owners. As they schedule their
flight, the owners will be able to choose to offset their travel by
purchasing TerraPass offsets based on time of air travel.
