Four Eclipse Jet Aircraft Now Flying
Affordable Jet Ownership - Drawing Ever Closer
July 11, 2005 - Westlake Village, CA. Jet-Alliance announced today
that there are now four Eclipse aircraft flying, with 150 hours
accumulated on the test fleet. An additional aircraft is scheduled
to join the fleet soon. "We are pleased with the progress of Eclipse
Aviation and their on-time schedule of development" said Randall
Sanada, President of Jet-Alliance. "It's exciting to realize that
first commercial deliveries are on schedule for this coming March."
At 1:44 p.m. (MDT) on July 9, the fourth Eclipse aircraft, powered
by two Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PW610F turbofan engines, took
off from the Albuquerque International Sunport for a flight that
lasted 43 minutes. During this first flight, the pilots climbed the
aircraft to 15,000 feet and reached 160 knots. The aircraft
completed a majority of the scheduled test points.
"We remain the only VLJ manufacturer with multiple FAA-conforming
jets in flight testing," said Eclipse Aviation president and CEO
Vern Raburn. "With four out of five of our flight test aircraft now
in the air, we are generating rich data and invaluable learnings
every day that will allow us to continue to move aggressively
towards FAA certification next year."
Jet-Alliance, the leading provider of fractional ownership in the
very light jet (VLJ) category of aircraft, is procuring a fleet of
the Eclipse jets for its member/customers. Ownership interests in
the aircraft are available for as little as $93,750 (less than the
cost of a Mercedes S500 Sedan). With a range of approximately 1200
miles and speeds exceeding 400 mph, the aircraft offers its owners
the ability to reduce travel time while increasing safety and
convenience. Instead of being limited to the 500 airports used by
airlines, Jet-Alliance travelers can make use of over 5,000 local
airports, and are able to avoid the lines and hassles of public
transportation.
Eclipse 500 Test Aircraft Fleet
Eclipse is manufacturing seven pre-production aircraft: one static
test airframe, one fatigue test airframe and five flight test
aircraft. The final flight test aircraft is in final assembly and
will be in the air this summer. For the latest information visit:

aircraft. The goal of Eclipse is to bring the word "personal" into
aviation, making it possible for commercial air passengers to move
